Stronda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Augusto Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Américo Bastos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elói Tepedino in the 12th minute. After 12 played minutes Reis SC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Recife. Aílton Rocha struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Américo Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stronda. In the 14th match minute, Reis SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Recife to maneuver through the defense. If Zé Augusto Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gernando de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernando de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Reis SC's Gernando de Souza got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Stronda getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Aílton Rocha hit a great ball. Américo Bastos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando das Neves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Stronda's Zé Augusto Souto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Américo Bastos. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. 33 minutes into the match, Paulo Albuquerque notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Reis SC's Américo Bastos. Américo Bastos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elói Tepedino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Américo Bastos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Stronda's Zé Augusto Souto in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Reis SC's goalie prevented a goal. Américo Bastos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Augusto Souto's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Reis SC's goalkeeper Américo Bastos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Serginho Paranaense notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Stronda's Luís Guilherme Paraíba. Luís Guilherme Paraíba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Zé Augusto Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stronda's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Augusto Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Zé Augusto Souto made the kick off in the second half. Aílton Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Zé Augusto Souto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Américo Bastos was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Américo Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Rocha in the 72nd minute of the match. Aílton Rocha took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Américo Bastos. Américo Bastos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 77 minutes into the match, Aílton Rocha notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Reis SC's Américo Bastos. Américo Bastos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the match, Stronda's Zé Augusto Souto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Américo Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Augusto Souto in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Américo Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, Reis SC's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Tepedino came free, but Américo Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Américo Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Albuquerque in the 92nd minute of play. Luís Guilherme Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serginho Paranaense in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute, Paulo Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Américo Bastos. Reis SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. There was no doubt that Stronda were the better team. Stronda's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
