Guveia's Dagoberto Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto Souto in the 3rd minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dagoberto Mota prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Stronda fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Stronda's Zé Augusto Souto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dagoberto Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Augusto Souto's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Zé Augusto Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st match minute, Stronda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Fernando das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Mota having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Stronda got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Rocha. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stronda's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Paraíba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Stronda getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Wellington de Medeiros hit a great ball. Jerônimo de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Guilherme Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo de Toledo in the 39th minute of play. When Zé Augusto Souto got free in front of the goal in the 40th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Dagoberto Mota was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Stronda's Luís Guilherme Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Eger in the 45th minute of play.

In the 52nd match minute, Stronda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stronda's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Paraíba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Hudson de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guveia's protests and gave Hudson de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Stronda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Augusto Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Guveia's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Albuquerque came free, but Dagoberto Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Rocha in the 74th minute of play forced Guveia's goalkeeper Dagoberto Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
