An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Baptista in the 8th minute of play forced FLA's goalkeeper Ricardinho Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match Edmundo Amaral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luisão Toscano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Luizão Favoretto made a precise shot to the right of Luisão Toscano. Aarão Zwinglio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Virgílio Moreno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luisão Toscano came out and tried to block the shot, but Virgílio Moreno slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Baptista in the 24th minute of play forced FLA's goalkeeper Ricardinho Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Ulisses Gaúcho put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardinho Seco. FLA's Ricardinho Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Baptista in the 39th minute of play. Virgílio Moreno struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Luisão Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FLA.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgílio Moreno made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Chico Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luisão Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgílio Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute Chico Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisão Toscano had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Edmundo Amaral's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Rezende during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Aarão Zwinglio's Eusébio Rezende got a free kick in the 77th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Chico Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FLA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chico Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Eurico Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Virgílio Moreno notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Aarão Zwinglio's Luisão Toscano. Luisão Toscano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FLA getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Chico Soeiro hit a great ball. FLA's Ricardinho Seco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save FLA from getting a goal against them. When Osmar Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aarão Zwinglio's protests and gave Osmar Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. Osmar Baptista hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Edmundo Amaral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luisão Toscano skillfully saved the ball. 92 minutes into the match, FLA's goalkeeper Ricardinho Seco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulisses Gaúcho. In the 93rd minute, Luizão Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
