After a rather tough play, Guaratuba EC's Osvaldo Furtado got a free kick in the 8th minute. Carlos Augusto Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Régis Vergílio hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. César Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Guaratuba EC booed when Mengarda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Régis Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Digo Tavares having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Régis Vergílio to make the kick off. Isaltino Jacinto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Carlos Augusto Montenegro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gugu Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Carlos Augusto Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Isaltino Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Isaltino Jacinto came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carlos Augusto Montenegro could save by the left post. Gugu Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Guaratuba EC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Caio Vinhas hit a great ball. Isaltino Jacinto kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 68thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Guaratuba EC's keeper Carlos Augusto Montenegro was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 75 minutes into the game, Isaltino Jacinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Carlos Augusto Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Augusto Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Amorim in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Guaratuba EC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaltino Jacinto. 83 minutes into the match, Guaratuba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Amorim came free, but Carlos Augusto Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Guaratuba EC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Caio Vinhas hit a great ball. César Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Digo Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Vergílio in the 90th minute of play. The Guaratuba EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mengarda FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Mengarda FC.
