Felippe Cardozo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caco Chaves in the 17th minute. The supporters of Biriguy AD booed when Itapinimba AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enéas Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Biriguy AD's Immanuel Sonjaya dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Álvaro Rossi struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Luís Fernando Goiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapinimba AD. 46 minutes into the match, Itapinimba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Matorin came free, but Felippe Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Itapinimba AD's Felippe Cardozo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Itapinimba AD from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álvaro Rossi was the one to do the kick off. Felippe Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Matorin in the 53rd minute of the match. The corner led Biriguy AD's Andrézinho Arantes to fire away a dangerous shot which Felippe Cardozo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luís Fernando Goiano came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes in the game Ademir Peixoto did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Olívio Figueiredo. Álvaro Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Biriguy AD players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
