An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Catarinense in the 33rd minute of play forced Natingui FC's goalkeeper Alexsandro Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Mané Catarinense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Onca SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Onca SC's Mané Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mané Catarinense scored 0-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexsandro Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Mané Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Carneiro in the 73rd minute of play.
