Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Francisco Lopes kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Morete SC booed when Arati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Loureiro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luís Fabiano Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Gerber scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diamantino Alagoano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 19 played minutes Arati got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Vides. If Luiz Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Arati's zone, Luiz Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo Cardozo came out of the goal and Luiz Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when João Francisco Lopes sped through Arati's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Paulo Cardozo. Arati's José Paulo Cardozo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Arati from getting a goal against them. If Luís Fabiano Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 39 played minutes Morete SC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Quadros. The supporters of Arati booed when Morete SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Gerber to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Fabiano Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Alagoano having to interfere. Morete SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arati the free kick. In the 57th minute, Morete SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roberto Gerber fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Arati's José Paulo Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Moura in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Arati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio da Silva to maneuver through the defense. After 69 minutes of play, Morete SC's Luiz Moura made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Paulo Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Morete SC's Diamantino Alagoano got control of the ball when Luís Fabiano Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Diamantino Alagoano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luís Fabiano Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st match minute, Morete SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Alagoano having to interfere. Luís Fabiano Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Alagoano having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
