The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovani Mandrak to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Albinopolis SC's Patrick de Medeiros got control of the ball when Luiz Fábio de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zézinho Vander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcinho Vasconcelos having to make a save. In the 59th minute, Waldemar Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albinopolis SC's Severino Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Cléberson Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palmas FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Albinopolis SC.
