The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Henrique Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Yan Ramos made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Unidos da Vila's zone, Henrique Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yan Ramos came out of the goal and Henrique Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fábio Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Ramos having to interfere. In the 9th minute of the match, Luís Fábio Madureira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yan Ramos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 10 minutes, Tony Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unidos da Vila and the Guararu SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yan Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Unidos da Vila's Edson Magalhães seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edson Magalhães the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unidos da Vila protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edson Magalhães had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Yan Ramos went to the wrong direction when Digo Maia was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Luís Fábio Madureira struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Yan Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guararu SS. In the 26thth minute of the game Luís Fábio Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unidos da Vila's Yan Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Guararu SS's Luís Fábio Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yan Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Henrique Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Unidos da Vila's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Madureira came free, but Yan Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guararu SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fábio Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Guararu SS's Henrique Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yan Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gildo Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredão Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Luís Fábio Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unidos da Vila's Yan Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yan Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Madureira in the 59th minute of play. Luís Fábio Madureira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yan Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Alfredão Munhoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorian Coutinho. Guararu SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredão Munhoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luís Fábio Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Ramos having to interfere. Valdo Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Henrique Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fábio Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ezequiel Teixeira hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When Guararu SS's Henrique Lima in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unidos da Vila's goalie prevented a goal. Unidos da Vila's Yan Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Madureira in the 87th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Unidos da Vila's Alfredão Munhoz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorian Coutinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Unidos da Vila players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
