Arlindo Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Garcia in the 17th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Guaramirim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Severo to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match Antônio Carlos Neves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kiko Paraense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 39 played minutes, Sarvuela's Luís Eduardo Prata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kiko Paraense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sarvuela reached it. Denílson Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kiko Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Denílson Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tales Diniz charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tales Diniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guaramirim FC's Kiko Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Paranaense in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Paranaense in the 62nd minute of play forced Guaramirim FC's goalkeeper Kiko Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kiko Paraense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kiko Paraense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denílson Moreira in the 70th minute. If Telmo Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Guaramirim FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sarvuela were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
