Do Black's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovânio Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute, Cido Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Beverini's zone, Geovânio Sarmento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Arantes came out of the goal and Geovânio Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Geovânio Sarmento reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luiz Eduardo Arantes. The goal made the score 3-1. Nilton Travassos hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Luiz Eduardo Arantes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Do Black's Geovânio Sarmento shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovânio Sarmento to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Beverini defense, Geovânio Sarmento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Eduardo Arantes. When the referee ended the match the Do Black players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
