In the 21st minute, Duda da Rocha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Linares. The goal made the score 1-0. After 27 played minutes Sumauna FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Novaes. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Zé Pedro da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumauna FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro da Mata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazinho Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dito de Senna struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ricardo Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SuperSãoPaulo. Ricardo Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duda da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Zé Pedro da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Vale having to interfere.

The supporters of SuperSãoPaulo booed when Sumauna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duda da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Linares having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Geovani Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dito de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ricardo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mazinho Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Quaresma in the 68th minute of the match. Mazinho Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Quaresma in the 81st minute of the match. Dito de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Linares having to interfere. Geovani Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovani Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes SuperSãoPaulo got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Cordeiro. 87 minutes into the match, Humberto Quaresma notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SuperSãoPaulo's Mazinho Vale. Mazinho Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zé Pedro da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute.
