Delfim Alves made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Sylwester Majdoch sent off a good shot on target. Boleslaw Huratiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Matorin in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Itapoan FC's goalkeeper Delfim Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hillar Liib. Gino Paraibano had several of the Itapoan FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 31 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Delfim Alves as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 35th minute of the match Olavo Veloso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boleslaw Huratiak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Delfim Alves didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Eagles F.C's Gino Paraibano shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Boleslaw Huratiak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Neiva in the 42nd minute of the match. Boleslaw Huratiak came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Itapoan FC's Luisinho Queirós. But to his dismay, Luisinho Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisinho Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. Hillar Liib's late challenge caught a Itapoan FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hillar Liib helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Hillar Liib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juarês Valadares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delfim Alves having to make a save. 68 minutes into the match, Eagles F.C's goalkeeper Boleslaw Huratiak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Víktor Neiva. Boleslaw Huratiak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arlindo Capixaba in the 70th minute. In the 71st match minute, Eagles F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hillar Liib to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Juarês Valadares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geovânio Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Delfim Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eagles F.C's Boleslaw Huratiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Matorin in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Itapoan FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
