Tomás Dantas made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Leonel Meireles sent off a good shot on target. Gilberto Quaresma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Tomás Dantas made a huge save. Júlio Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hudson Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Júlio Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baitapora's Júlio Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Valadares in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Leonel Meireles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mathias Cerezo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomás Dantas. Totus Tuus's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Gilberto Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Meireles took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Dantas. Tomás Dantas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gilberto Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Tomás Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Leonel Meireles took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Dantas. Tomás Dantas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 63 minutes into the match, Baitapora's Leonel Meireles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomás Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Totus Tuus's zone, Leonel Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Dantas came out of the goal and Leonel Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Leonel Meireles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Dantas was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Júlio Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hudson Mandrak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Meireles in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 80th minute Leonel Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaká Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Aílton Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aílton Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes Totus Tuus got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Correia. When Gilberto Quaresma, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 91 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tomás Dantas was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Leonel Meireles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Tomás Dantas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Baitapora had played much better football throughout.
