Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Álvaro Maciel started the match with the kick off. Luís Fábio Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Álvaro Maciel's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Jojoca SS's Miguel Soeiro got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Jojoca SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Álvaro Maciel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 8 minutes into the match, Bernardo Moreno notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sangao's Sílvio Luiz Salles. Sílvio Luiz Salles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, Jojoca SS's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Maciel came free, but Luís Fábio Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Jojoca SS's Luís Fábio Mendes got control of the ball when Amauri Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Sangao booed when Jojoca SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Luiz Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Amauri Maranhense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fábio Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Aluísio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Bernardo Moreno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sílvio Luiz Salles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Jojoca SS's Aluísio Amaral got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Miguel Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Jojoca SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Soeiro couldn't finish the play. Cristian Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Aluísio Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Sílvio Luiz Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bernardo Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sílvio Luiz Salles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Aluísio Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bernardo Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Velasco's late challenge caught a Jojoca SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Luiz Salles came out of the goal and Aluísio Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Velasco hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Aluísio Amaral struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Sílvio Luiz Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jojoca SS. If Aluísio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Amauri Maranhense hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Miguel Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Sílvio Luiz Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Moreno in the 80th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Bernardo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jojoca SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luiz Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aluísio Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Sílvio Luiz Salles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Sangao getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Armando Machado hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Zé Tavares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luiz Salles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernardo Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sílvio Luiz Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute of the match, Bernardo Moreno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sílvio Luiz Salles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 97 minutes into the match, Jojoca SS's Aluísio Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Luiz Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sangao succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Jojoca SS had controlled the match.
