When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Gabriel da Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. Armando Furtado's late challenge caught a Arsenal-RN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Jaciparana SS got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Mineiro. After a defensive mix-up in Jaciparana SS's zone, Aloísio Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Ferraz came out of the goal and Aloísio Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arsenal-RN made a substitution. Alexandre Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Ferraz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho de Castro during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cauã Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
