Grotao's Enrique Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo de Azevedo in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Tiago Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Bertran's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Tony Messias skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 44 minutes into the match, Galhao's goalkeeper Tony Messias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Bertran. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leon Bertran to make the kick off. Faustão Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Bertran in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Bertran in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Messias saved Galhao from getting behind. Galhao's Tony Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Moreira in the 56th minute of play. Enrique Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Peixoto in the 58th minute of play. Leon Bertran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Messias having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo de Azevedo got free with Enrique Passos in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juninho Galvão hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Tony Messias came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Grotao's Leon Bertran. But to his dismay, Leon Bertran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Isaltino Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Messias having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Galhao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Bertran in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Grotao had played much better football throughout.
