Antônio Carlos Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Zonta having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Antônio Carlos Botelho put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Diamantino Zonta. After 18 played minutes Hidrolina got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Lira. Arthur Maias short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Ciro Cardozo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, Caroa SC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Botelho came free, but Diamantino Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Botelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diamantino Zonta. Diamantino Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Carlos Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Cardozo having to interfere. A collision led to Hidrolina getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Olavo Mendes hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Ramiro Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Ciro Cardozo to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Lira was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caroa SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! If Júlio Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Cardozo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arthur Maia went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 83rd match minute, Caroa SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Simão to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Afonsinho Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antônio Carlos Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Diamantino Zonta made a huge save. 98 minutes into the game, Caroa SC's Arthur Maia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Caroa SC were victorious despite being under pressure from Hidrolina for much of the match.
