Spectators: 6691 (Terracing: 5010, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 14) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When Carlinhos França came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Aricaria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos França couldn't finish the play. After 24 minutes of play, Aricaria FC's André Luís Barbosa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diamantino Zonta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Oswaldo Bittencourt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Carlinhos França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Diamantino Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Caroa SC's Paulo José Quintal got a free kick in the 55th minute. 61 minutes into the game, João Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aricaria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caroa SC the free kick. The supporters of Caroa SC booed when Aricaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlinhos França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Diamantino Zonta made a huge save. A collision led to Aricaria FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Matías Rezende hit a great ball. Carlinhos França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When André Luís Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Aricaria FC fans jumped to their feet. Despite this Diamantino Zonta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aricaria FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
