After having played for 14 minutes, Geovanni Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espalhado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni Zanette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorginho Lago struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Manuel Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espalhado. 19 minutes into the match, Villa Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Zanette came free, but Manuel Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-2 became the score in the 24th minute when Jorginho Lago elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Geovanni Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Dantas was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Villa Verde FC defense, Geovanni Zanette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Dantas. The Villa Verde FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Dantas should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni Zanette in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Dantas saved Villa Verde FC from getting behind. In the 44th minute, Lúcio Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Luiz Madureira. Espalhado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Geovanni Zanette struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Manuel Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espalhado. After the first half Espalhado were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanni Zanette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Espalhado's Jorginho Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorginho Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Manuel Dantas made a huge save. Geovanni Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Manuel Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorginho Lago got free with Manuel Dantas in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jorginho Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovanni Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Manuel Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Geovanni Zanette dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manuel Dantas, 1-6. Manuel Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Verde FC's zone, Jorginho Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Dantas came out of the goal and Jorginho Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Jorginho Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni Zanette in the 99th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Dantas saved Villa Verde FC from getting behind. The Villa Verde FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Espalhado were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
