Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Claudinho Souto got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Assalim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Sergipano came free, but Belmiro Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Maximim EC's Cristóvão Tasso got a free kick in the 4th minute. Claudinho Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquim Couto came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Assalim FC's Claudinho Souto. But to his dismay, Claudinho Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 13 minutes, Claudinho Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Assalim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Moraes in the 17th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Edson Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Souto in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Couto saved Maximim EC from getting behind. Belmiro Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Joaquim Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinho Souto went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriberto Proença during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Assalim FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Eriberto Proença hit a great ball. Noel Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Damião having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Claudinho Souto put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquim Couto. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Duarte Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Joaquim Couto managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Assalim FC's Claudinho Souto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Maximim EC's Albertinho Vander got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Sergipano in the 61st minute of play forced Assalim FC's goalkeeper Belmiro Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Belmiro Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Noel Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Damião having to interfere. Eriberto Proença was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After some careless play in the Assalim FC defense, Noel Sergipano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Belmiro Damião. The Assalim FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Belmiro Damião should have stopped the shot. The Maximim EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Assalim FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Assalim FC.
