Albertinho Mendonça hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Aílton Porto's late challenge caught a Dream Madrid FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aílton Porto helped the player get up and apologised. Aílton Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doriva de Alcântara acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carlos Tavares. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tapiara's goalkeeper Doriva de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dito Gomes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Dream Madrid FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Dito Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Gomes got free with Doriva de Alcântara in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurício dos Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Dito Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doriva de Alcântara was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Dito Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Doriva de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Ismael Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tapiara getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Albertinho Mendonça hit a great ball. Doriva de Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dito Gomes's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Dito Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Kléber Cordeiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anselmo Porto. The goal made the score 3-2. After having played for 84 minutes, Samuca Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dream Madrid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Gomes in the 88th minute of play forced Tapiara's goalkeeper Doriva de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Porto having to interfere. After 94 minutes Dream Madrid FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ademar Brasil who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Tapiara's corner Ademar Brasil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anselmo Porto quite easily take care of the ball. Dream Madrid FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
