After 9 minutes of play, Bangu FM's Hílton Queiroz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caco Borges was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hílton Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caco Borges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan de Mendonça in the 16th minute of play forced BIG BANG SC's goalkeeper Caco Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Antônio Carlos Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in BIG BANG SC's zone, Hílton Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caco Borges came out of the goal and Hílton Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Bangu FM's Hílton Queiroz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caco Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 37 minutes into the game, Hílton Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Caco Borges was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caco Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber de Mendonça in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Bangu FM were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cauan de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Caco Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bangu FM. Maximino Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Lara in the 56th minute of play. Cauan de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Borges having to interfere. Antônio Carlos Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Caco Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bangu FM's Juninho Vale shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 63rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Caco Borges but with some difficulty. In the 68th minute, Bangu FM's Antônio Carlos Marinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Claudinei Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Antônio Carlos Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Carlos Marinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Caco Borges skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 82 minutes into the match, Bangu FM's Antônio Carlos Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caco Borges narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Bangu FM's Antônio Carlos Marinho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caco Borges. That made the score 0-5 after 84 minutes of play. Caco Borges came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Bangu FM's Délio Matorin. But to his dismay, Délio Matorin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Juninho Vale took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Caco Borges. BIG BANG SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Délio Matorin might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caco Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Délio Matorin ran back to his position shaking his head. If Antônio Carlos Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bangu FM's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
