After some careless play in the Ubaia defense, Joel Mangueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo Quadros. The Ubaia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Eduardo Quadros should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Ubaia's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho Barreto came free, but Luís Eduardo Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Barreto to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Arnaldo Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bruninho Barreto hit a great ball. Luís Eduardo Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Proença in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Joel Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Barreto in the 41st minute of play forced Ubaia's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Eduardo Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaia's Luís Eduardo Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Proença in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Joel Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Eduardo Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the game, Corinthians's Walmir Proença nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 57 minutes of play, Corinthians's Bruninho Barreto made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Eduardo Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Ubaia's zone, Walmir Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Eduardo Quadros came out of the goal and Walmir Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubaia's Luís Eduardo Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Mangueira in the 62nd minute of play. Allan Burgess received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. César Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Joel Mangueira made a precise shot to the right of Luís Eduardo Quadros. Ubaia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Ubaia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Emílio Travassos scored to the left of an out of position Luís Eduardo Quadros, making the score, 2-6. 78 minutes into the game, Bruninho Barreto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-7. Luís Eduardo Quadros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute, Geovanni Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Juan Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ubaia's Luís Eduardo Quadros got control of the ball when Walmir Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line.
