Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adrianinho Luz started the match with the kick off. After 9 minutes of play, Kroeff's Josué da Silveira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Carioca was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Josué da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Mathias Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kroeff's Rômulo Tande slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinei Carioca. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. Vitório de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrício Brito in the 29th minute of the match. Ismael Terra had several of the Maruda's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Claudinei Carioca as he didn't even see the shot coming. Josué da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Claudinei Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th of the match, Bart-Jan Elens tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Claudinei Carioca got in the way and made a wonderful save. With a little luck, Maruda's Claudinei Carioca got control of the ball when Josué da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vitório de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrianinho Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bart-Jan Elens to strike the kick off in the second half. 4-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Josué da Silveira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Vitório de Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrício Brito in the 59th minute. Kroeff's Vitório de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Kroeff from getting a goal against them. Ismael Terra took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinei Carioca. Claudinei Carioca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. A collision led to Kroeff getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Marko Pivnenko hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Luz in the 75th minute of play forced Kroeff's goalkeeper Vitório de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Ismael Terra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinei Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 87th minute, Bart-Jan Elens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kroeff fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Claudinei Carioca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bart-Jan Elens's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 93rd match minute, Maruda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kroeff had played much better football throughout.
