With an all-out effort, XARADAS F.C's Ernani Leme threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliézer Tavares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half Cassu AD were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Eliézer Tavares made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the XARADAS F.C defense, Váldson Paulista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anselmo Massa. Anselmo Massa was a little too slow when Hernani Mota got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 0-4. Cassu AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
