Alan Prata had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Dito Teixeira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of NOIAS FC booed when Zetha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdo Souza took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ludomir Chuchro. Ludomir Chuchro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Osvaldinho Mazza's late challenge caught a Zetha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldinho Mazza helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in NOIAS FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Zetha's Dito Teixeira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alan Prata. Almir Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Almir Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zetha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Almir Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in NOIAS FC's zone, Dito Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alan Prata came out of the goal and Dito Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dito Teixeiras short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Alan Prata to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdo Souza was the one to do the kick off. Alan Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Paraibano in the 52nd minute of play. If Valdo Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Zetha getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Serginho Palmeira hit a great ball. Ciro Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Valdo Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. NOIAS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludomir Chuchro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th match minute, Zetha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. When Valdo Souza came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the NOIAS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Souza couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Zetha's Ludomir Chuchro got control of the ball when Valdo Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Dito Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Alan Prata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. NOIAS FC's Alan Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Teixeira in the 79th minute of play. Rafa Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafa Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafa Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Dito Teixeira sped through NOIAS FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alan Prata. If Dito Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zetha had played much better football throughout.
