With a left leg Jefferson Recife saved Baixo from getting behind. Jefferson Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Jefferson Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamim Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Baixo's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Lara came free, but Jefferson Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agostinho Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Recife read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. The referee ignored Baixo's protests and gave Rodrigo Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, Baixo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jefferson Recife having to make a save. Ramona's supporters rose to their feet, but Agostinho Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 minutes of play, Ramona's Agostinho Barral made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jefferson Recife was left in no man's land by his defense there! Délio Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano da Rocha having to interfere.
