Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Wágner Dracena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dadá Paranaense went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Amauri Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson da Cunha in the 10th minute of play. When Dadá Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Contrato FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Dadá Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wágner Dracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. When Gualter Senna fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paladino's protests and gave Gualter Senna a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Paladino got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Senna. Jailson da Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualter Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Contrato FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Moura came free, but Amauri Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Paladino's Yuri Abreu got a free kick in the 38th minute. Contrato FC's Dagoberto de Queirós suffered a sore knee after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Contrato FC's Kléberson do Nascimento was substituted for Dagoberto de Queirós. In the 45th minute, Yuri Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Hernani Moura made the kick off in the second half. Contrato FC's Dadá Paranaense got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernani Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Amauri Aguiar made a huge save. In the 66th match minute, Paladino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. If Dadá Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson do Nascimento in the 78th minute of play forced Paladino's goalkeeper Wágner Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Eliézer Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hernani Moura came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Paladino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Moura couldn't finish the play. With his leg Amauri Aguiar managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Paladino's Jailson da Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dadá Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wágner Dracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Paladino booed when Contrato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paladino's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
