The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Dadá Paranaense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Paulo Meira. Claraval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dadá Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Dadá Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Contrato FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Paranaense couldn't finish the play. After 8 played minutes Contrato FC got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Ferreira. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Marcel Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contrato FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Paulo Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the game, Eliézer Meira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pedro Paulo Meira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliézer Meira struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Bernardo Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Claraval's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliézer Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Dadá Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contrato FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dadá Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Paulo Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claraval's Pedro Paulo Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Paranaense in the 42nd minute of play. Dadá Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Meira having to interfere. After the first half Contrato FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliézer Meira was the one to do the kick off. Eliézer Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Contrato FC's Dagoberto de Queirós got a free kick in the 65th minute. Dadá Paranaense struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Pedro Paulo Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Contrato FC. Eliézer Meira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kléberson do Nascimento came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pedro Paulo Meira could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Claraval's Benê Ceresso got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Contrato FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Claraval.
