When Dráusio Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the AE Unidos da Vila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. Lauro Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando de Senna having to interfere. Lauro Cosme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nando de Senna having to make a save. When Vágner Arantes fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chuvarada's protests and gave Vágner Arantes a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chuvarada fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! In the 82nd minute, AE Unidos da Vila got a penalty, and Rodriguinho Breckenfeld placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Leonel Velloso's late challenge caught a Chuvarada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chuvarada booed when AE Unidos da Vila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Nando de Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when AE Unidos da Vila's Dráusio Bittencourt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. AE Unidos da Vila's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
