Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) Borgueto's Adrianinho Vieira started the match with a crisp pass. After 20 played minutes Dinamo Guarulhos got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Mineiro. Marcus Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Zonta in the 21st minute of play. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Adrianinho Vieira sped through Dinamo Guarulhos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcus Marques. The crowd rose to their feet as Rubinho das Neves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcus Marques. That made the score 2-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ediberto Mota to make the kick off. Dinamo Guarulhos's Marcus Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Vieira in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Adrianinho Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borgueto's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrianinho Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
