Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tiago Trigo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Hermínio Toscano 10 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Alfredo Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Itamaraca SS booed when Carambehy SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered when Henrique de Sousa's long shot passed Hermínio Toscano's right side. It was 2-0, 18 minutes into the match. Walmyr de Sena might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermínio Toscano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmyr de Sena ran back to his position shaking his head. Renato Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Senna's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Alfredo Munhoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Renato Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernani Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Amaral having to interfere. Alfredo Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hermínio Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Senna was the one to do the kick off. Renato Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Senna in the 57th minute of play. Hermínio Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr de Sena in the 59th minute of the match. Alfredo Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carambehy SC's goalkeeper Hermínio Toscano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Itamaraca SS's Renato Amaral got control of the ball when Marcinho Palmeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carambehy SC's Zé Pedro Trancoso shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Renato Amaral but with some difficulty. When Alfredo Munhoz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 72 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hermínio Toscano was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Itamaraca SS's Alfredo Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Alfredo Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itamaraca SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Munhoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Toscano having to interfere. Marcel Lopez's late challenge caught a Carambehy SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. 89 minutes into the game, one of Itamaraca SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bruninho Pernambucano placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Hermínio Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Itamaraca SS fully deserved thier win.
