The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 45 in the game by Natã Brito from a close distance when the talented Adhemar Bittencourt managed to make a qualified save. Goias's players were relieved. Natã Britos short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Adhemar Bittencourt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moisés da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Natã Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Bittencourt having to interfere. In the 58th minute Natã Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Simão da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adhemar Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natã Brito's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Natã Brito struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Adhemar Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itauninha SC. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Natã Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adhemar Bittencourt. Goias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natã Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Duarte Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
