Arapongas E.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 12 played minutes Barras FC got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Vidal. Jeferson de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Duarte in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Murilo Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Pedro Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wieslaw Podowski during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Barras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wieslaw Podowski to maneuver through the defense. Arapongas E.C.'s Hernani Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Paulista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Arapongas E.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The Barras FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arapongas E.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
