Thomás Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Hernani Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brocoto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Garcia in the 8th minute of play forced Brocoto's goalkeeper Kai Bregnhof to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 10 in the game by Thomás Carneiro from a close distance when the talented Hernani Barreto managed to make a qualified save. Brebe's players were relieved. Kai Bregnhof made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Quadros in the 12th minute of play. Kai Bregnhof came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Brebe's Gil Quadros. But to his dismay, Gil Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute, one of Brebe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brebe. The goalkeeper, Hernani Barreto, was totally fooled by Brocoto's Telmo Palomares, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 21 minutes into the match, Wilson Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hernani Barreto. Brebe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilson Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Brebe's Gil Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brebe's goalkeeper Hernani Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thomás Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Brocoto's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Vasconcelos came free, but Kai Bregnhof reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wilson Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the game, Thomás Carneiro lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Hernani Barreto. Nilson Trevisan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kai Bregnhof read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Brocoto's Kai Bregnhof played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Quadros in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Hernani Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomás Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Brocoto booed when Brebe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Gil Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brebe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brocoto the free kick. The supporters of Brocoto booed when Brebe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Brocoto getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hélder Barral hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Luiz Fernando Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Brebe's Gil Quadros got a free kick in the 70th minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Wilson Cearense put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hernani Barreto. When Brocoto's Thomás Carneiro in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brebe's goalie prevented a goal. Tiago Gabriel Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Brebe's zone, Wilson Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernani Barreto came out of the goal and Wilson Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gil Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brebe's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kai Bregnhof breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Brebe's Gil Quadros got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Brocoto fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Brocoto's Thomás Carneiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brocoto had won after a very even match.
