The audience thought a goal was coming when Vito Massa got free with Jorginho Arruda in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 6 played minutes Cumbauba FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Fontes. Severino Nascimento who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Jorginho Arruda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cumbauba FC's Jorginho Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Cumbauba FC from getting a goal against them. Vito Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jorginho Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Paumaripe SS's Severino Nascimento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jorginho Arruda. Jorginho Arruda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Vito Massa kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 19thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Cumbauba FC's keeper Jorginho Arruda was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After a defensive mix-up in Paumaripe SS's zone, Samuel Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrão Paiva came out of the goal and Samuel Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Pedrão Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cumbauba FC's Jorginho Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Nascimento in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Paumaripe SS's zone, Luiz Eduardo Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrão Paiva came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Fabrício Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cumbauba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrício Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Severino Nascimento, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jorginho Arruda was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Vito Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severino Nascimento made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Paumaripe SS's Vito Massa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorginho Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samuel Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Paumaripe SS's Hugo Castro got a free kick in the 64th minute. Jorginho Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Nascimento in the 66th minute of play. Fabrício Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Jorginho Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Aílton Romero hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Fabrício Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Paiva having to interfere. Jorginho Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Massa in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cumbauba FC's Fabrício Fontes got a free kick in the 80th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Vito Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paumaripe SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vito Massa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vito Massa in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorginho Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorginho Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Vito Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Arruda having to interfere. Paumaripe SS's Severino Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dedé Mendes hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Marcinho Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paumaripe SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fabrício Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paumaripe SS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cumbauba FC for a fine match.
