The audience thought a goal was coming when Giovani Souto got free with Váldson da Silveira in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maurinho de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís de Queiroz in the 26th minute of the match. Maurinho de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Marajazinho EC booed when Itamby AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Bruninho Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marajazinho EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruninho Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurinho de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narciso Jacinto to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Samuca Schmidt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Váldson da Silveira was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Schmidt in the 59th minute of play forced Marajazinho EC's goalkeeper Váldson da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Samuca Schmidt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Váldson da Silveira. After 88 played minutes Marajazinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Maia. Samuca Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Váldson da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Váldson da Silveira came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Itamby AD's Samuca Schmidt. But to his dismay, Samuca Schmidt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Itamby AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Marajazinho EC for a fine match.
