To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 79 played minutes Scorpião Rei got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Barral. Cristiano Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Délio Meira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jardel de Barros having to make a save. Gil Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Braga's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Reginaldo do Vale hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Frédson Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gil Peixoto was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After 91 minutes, Frédson Batista made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Scorpião Rei's Gil Peixoto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Scorpião Rei walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
