The supporters of Iatoba booed when Tribiau SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Tribiau SS's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Mandrak came free, but Eugênio Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Humberto Hames was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tribiau SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iatoba the free kick. A collision led to Tribiau SS getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Humberto Hames hit a great ball. William Velloso scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugênio Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Inácio Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Leão having to interfere. Otávio Medeiros's late challenge caught a Tribiau SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otávio Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. Otávio Medeiros hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Deivid Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Soeiro having to interfere. Eugênio Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Mandrak's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The Iatoba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Alessandro Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eugênio Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Velloso made a kick off. In the 54th minute Deivid Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otávio Medeiros missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 65 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Eugênio Leão right hand side. Eugênio Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Velloso in the 68th minute of play. Simão Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when William Velloso got free with Eugênio Leão in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tribiau SS's goalkeeper Eugênio Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. William Velloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugênio Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. William Velloso ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulinho Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Otávio Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Tribiau SS's Eugênio Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Velloso in the 89th minute of play. Paulo José Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Inácio Mandrak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugênio Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When the final whistle sounded Iatoba left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tribiau SS.
