The AC PerFecT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Váldson da Rocha should have stopped the shot. Denílson Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Váldson da Rocha was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Leopoldo Botelho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leopoldo Botelho really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Tião Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Váldson da Rocha made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Botelho made a kick off. Macaranduba SS's Víktor Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Garcia in the 53rd minute of play. Raphael Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Macaranduba SS's Rodolfo Catarinense got a free kick in the 55th minute. Mané Garcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Víktor Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mané Garcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Mané Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Freire having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Mané Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Víktor Freire was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. AC PerFecT's Váldson da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Azevedo in the 69th minute of play. Váldson da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Catarinense in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Botelho in the 79th minute of play forced AC PerFecT's goalkeeper Váldson da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raphael Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Víktor Freire made a huge save. Víktor Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mané Garcia's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Tião Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macaranduba SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raphael Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Víktor Freire made a huge save. Macaranduba SS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
