The supporters of Diaurum booed when Aratingauba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Eduardo do Valle came out of the goal and Rubens Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aratingauba's Bruno Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rubens Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th match minute, Diaurum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Rubens Nóbrega struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Carlos Eduardo do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aratingauba. Chants of Diaurum echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Aratingauba had held the ball for most of the match.
