Damyan Ramadanov might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráuzio Falcão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damyan Ramadanov ran back to his position shaking his head. Cesinha de Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráuzio Falcão having to make a save. Cesinha de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Dráuzio Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Damyan Ramadanov made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. PARIS's Dráuzio Falcão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 17 minutes of play, Atlético Piauiense's Cesinha de Alcântara made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dráuzio Falcão was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, Cesinha de Alcântara notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of PARIS's Dráuzio Falcão. Dráuzio Falcão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dudu Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dudu Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dudu Linares hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Damião in the 33rd minute of play forced Atlético Piauiense's goalkeeper Tião de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Cesinha de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Piauiense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Atlético Piauiense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Paulista to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute of the match Décio de Lima shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tião de Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 45 played minutes PARIS got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Velasco. In the 47thth minute of the game Romeu Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Piauiense's Tião de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oséias Trancoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Tião de Amaral successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dráuzio Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesinha de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Dráuzio Falcão came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Piauiense's Cesinha de Alcântara. But to his dismay, Cesinha de Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 68th minute Oséias Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the PARIS defense, Cesinha de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráuzio Falcão. The PARIS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráuzio Falcão should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute Oséias Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Atlético Piauiense's Tião de Amaral got control of the ball when Romeu Damião tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cesinha de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Falcão having to interfere. Dráuzio Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damyan Ramadanov in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Atlético Piauiense booed when PARIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráuzio Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damyan Ramadanov in the 86th minute of play. Romeu Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião de Amaral having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match Hugo Vieira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tião de Amaral skillfully saved the ball. Glauco Guerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tião de Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Glauco Guerra slotted it home off the left post making it 6-1 in the 96th minute.
