After 10 minutes, Cauã Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zelandia and the Tapaiuna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zelandia's Arthur Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Carioca in the 11th minute of play. Simão de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulão Souto in the 13th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, Tapaiuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Paulão Souto struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Simão de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zelandia. Simão de Senna acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 53rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from João Carlos Barbosa.
