In the 6th minute, Quingo AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fred Maranhense fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 9th minute, Guto Urbano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Guto Urbano had several of the Quingo AD's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Rodolfo Baiano as he didn't even see the shot coming. Augusto França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Glória de Vacaria's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto França came free, but Clóvis Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clóvis Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto França, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Osvaldinho Palmeira hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Fred Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Fred Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Maranhense received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodolfo Baiano came out and tried to block the shot, but Fred Maranhense slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Fred Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clóvis Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto França, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Guto Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guto Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guto Urbano got free with Rodolfo Baiano in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Luiz Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldinho Palmeira during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roberto Vergílio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clóvis Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Rodolfo Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Maranhense in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Quingo AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Peres to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, Roberto Vergílio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Clóvis Cabral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute of the match Cipriano Figueiredo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Baiano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Fred Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glória de Vacaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberto Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Clóvis Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glória de Vacaria's Guto Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Glória de Vacaria had won after a very even match.
