After 6 minutes, Hélio Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C.Expressinho and the Glória de Vacaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Carlos Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 13th minute, Guto Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glória de Vacaria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 18 minutes of play, Glória de Vacaria's Guto Urbano made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Carlos Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clóvis Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes, Gil Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glória de Vacaria and the F.C.Expressinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Glória de Vacaria getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gil Senna hit a great ball. Zé Carlos Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Maranhense in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Guto Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glória de Vacaria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guto Urbano in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Carlos Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Carlos Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fred Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juninho do Vale made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Glória de Vacaria's Cipriano Figueiredo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Bruninho de Godoi didn't quite understand what happened when in the 53 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. A hard shot 57 in the game by Guto Urbano from a close distance when the talented Zé Carlos Vergílio managed to make a qualified save. F.C.Expressinho's players were relieved. Glória de Vacaria's Guto Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Vergílio having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Fred Maranhense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Carlos Vergílio. Fred Maranhense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Guto Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Carlos Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Carlos Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Maranhense in the 88th minute of play forced F.C.Expressinho's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Expressinho's zone, Guto Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Carlos Vergílio came out of the goal and Guto Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arthur Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
