Telmo Sarmento was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Telmo Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Carlos Augusto Meireles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ganchos SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apple Soccer Club the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Ganchos SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto Meireles to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, César Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Anísio Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Telmo Sarmento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. César Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Telmo Sarmento came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Apple Soccer Club's Anísio Moreira. But to his dismay, Anísio Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 31st match minute, Apple Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Augusto Meireles hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Fonseca made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Anísio Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apple Soccer Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Anísio Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anísio Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Telmo Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anísio Moreira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Apple Soccer Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Anísio Moreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Sarmento having to make a save. In the 64th minute César Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Anísio Moreira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Telmo Sarmento. The goal made the score 0-4. Telmo Sarmento was a little too slow when Belo Candela got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-5. Telmo Sarmento was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Anísio Moreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anísio Moreira really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Apple Soccer Club played a much better game than Ganchos SC and deserved their victory. The Ganchos SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
