Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Janga's Thomás Gonçalves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Thomás Gonçalves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cauan Freire, 1-0. After 7 played minutes Janga got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Lira. Vágner Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Wiliam Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Vágner Arósio made a precise shot to the right of Wiliam Lara. Janga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 15th minute Luiz Paulo Moura suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 15 minutes into the game, Thomás Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Janga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corunha the free kick. Corunha's Régis Velasco was substituted for Luiz Paulo Moura. Edson de Godoi's late challenge caught a Janga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edson de Godoi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Edson de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gugu Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Corunha booed when Janga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Janga's zone, Gugu Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wiliam Lara came out of the goal and Gugu Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corunha's Cauan Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Gonçalves in the 24th minute of play. Gugu Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Corunha's Décio Barbosa got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th match minute, Janga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Vides to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Janga's Amauri Massa got a free kick in the 30th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Corunha's Denílson Sá tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Toninho Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corunha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Janga the free kick. After 35 played minutes Corunha got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Pena. 39 minutes into the game, Janga's Isaltino Bueno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cauan Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Janga's Wiliam Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Sá in the 42nd minute of play. Isaltino Bueno might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cauan Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaltino Bueno ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juarês Lira during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 47 played minutes Janga got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Lira. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denílson Sá to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Corunha's goal looked a bit too open when Isaltino Bueno came free, but Cauan Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corunha's Edson de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cauan Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Bueno in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Janga getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Thomás Gonçalves hit a great ball. When Isaltino Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Janga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaltino Bueno couldn't finish the play. Corunha's Cauan Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio Vides in the 63rd minute of play. Cauan Freire came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Janga's Isaltino Bueno. But to his dismay, Isaltino Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The attack was good, but when Thomás Gonçalves in the 69th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Cauan Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Gonçalves in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Thomás Gonçalves made a precise shot to the right of Cauan Freire. Corunha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 80 minutes into the match, Janga's goal looked a bit too open when Edson de Godoi came free, but Wiliam Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiliam Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Sá in the 86th minute of play. Denílson Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th minute of the match Denílson Sá shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wiliam Lara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Janga fans cheered their team off the field, for while Corunha had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
