Engenhinho SS's Christiano Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Gonçalo Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christiano Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christiano Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. If Christiano Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christiano Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Velloso having to interfere. After 78 minutes, Teodoro Abraão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirapemas SS and the Engenhinho SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes Pirapemas SS got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Abraão. Benê Vides's late challenge caught a Pirapemas SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benê Vides helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Engenhinho SS's Benê Vides got a free kick in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Pirapemas SS's Cleiton Figueiredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adriano Favoretto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
