After 42 played minutes F.C Capão Redondo got a freekick which was hit by Marco Gomes. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After 52 minutes of play F.C Capão Redondo's Naldo Lima was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ipueiras's Elias Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gilvan Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Nildo Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Messias in the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ipueiras's Matheus Paulista got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Gilvan Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C Capão Redondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilvan Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Elias Messias came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ipueiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Messias couldn't finish the play. F.C Capão Redondo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Elias Messias scored to the left of an out of position Nildo Sampaio, making the score, 0-3. The F.C Capão Redondo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ipueiras's performance. The match ended with a win for Ipueiras.
